This mix comes from a legendary Seattle party and from a legendary Seattle dj, Dj Eva is a big name but most people would probably only connect her with sounds of breakbeak and house, well Eva started out spinning drum and bass in seattle. when i first started to rave her mixes were one of the big factors in me falling in love with dnb, I managed to catch this set at one of my first “massive” raves when I was 18, I was blown away. you can hear from this mix her track selection and mixing were always on point, its a shame the MC is so terrible.

This article was written by a member of a band called “too much joy”. he goes over and explain the process of digital roylties for a “unrecouped” band. its a good read and very interesting. it also shows one more reason to never sign with a major label. they just dont care about you and its easy to surmise that thousands of bands are basically being ripped off.

A1 Bassline is know for his dance floor dubstep style so i was a tiny bit surprised when i ran across this mix of classic dnb cuts. It really is nothing but the biggest tunes of the last ten years, but its worth a listen and hopefully it will help the dubstep crowd here some of the dubstep roots. (side not i copied the TL the origin unknown song is actually “Vally of shadows” but the vocal does say 31 secs. LOL)

Respect is the premier DNB night in LA and is one of the oldest running weekly nights in the US (there is a lot of debate on weather its dnb Tuesdays in Seattle or respect in LA) and i’m sure that a-sides ripped it up in LA, I know that i saw him play on the same tour up here a few days earlier and it was a great night filled with liquid smashers.
